Ms. Ethnic World International 2012Elaine VegaMy name is Elaine Vega. I am 34 yrs. old and a proud single mother of 2 beautiful children, Xiara 12 and Dehmien 8. I graduated from L.I.B.S., now known as Empire Cosmetology school, in 2002 and also acquired my Associates Degree in Medical Sciences in 2008. Although I continue to be a stay at home mom, due to my sons disability, I am grateful to have found a happy medium in the world of pageantry for it has given me the opportunity to combine both areas of studies. Cosmetology for competition purposes and my medical background to represent my platform. With the encouragement of my daughter I have been able to pursue a childhood dream of becoming a title holder. I whole heartedly appreciate all the love and support my family and friends have shown me throughout this amazing journey and would like to thank Ethnic World for broadening my horizons and it will not only be an honor but a priviledge to represent the organization with the upmost respect allwhile being the voice of the people of my community.
